Since Monique was a little girl she has had a passion for planning events; it was evident when she planned the elaborate wedding for her Barbie and Ken (BTW they're still married).

Prior to becoming an event producer Monique enjoyed many years with Bank of America.  Having worked in several departments within the Bank Monique was called upon (or volunteered) to plan many of the events within those departments.  Whether it was executive meetings, educational trainings, holiday parties or fundraising galas Monique’s enthusiasm allowed her to excel with each event.  She enjoyed several years of coordinating and designing social events, weddings and fashion shows while still employed at the Bank.

After completing her MBA Monique stepped out on faith and decided to pursue her two passions...event planning and entrepreneurship.  Today Monique Hogan Weddings and Special Events currently plans a number of weddings, receptions, anniversaries, birthday bashes, baby and bridal showers and that's just the tip of the iceberg. 

After planning parties for her friends' children she discovered the need to relieve parents (especially Moms) of the hassles of throwing fabulous parties for their children.  So naturally she launched a children's party planning company, Star Party.

Monique's laid back and sometime humorous personality is considered to be her greatest asset; it makes her clients feel at ease.  Monique approaches each event with an open mind, a gracious attitude and a smile.
